What is Spintax?
Spintax (spin syntax) is a simple format for writing several versions of a text at once. You place options inside curly braces, separated by pipes, like {Hi|Hello|Hey} neighbors. Software then picks one option from each set, so every group or recipient gets a slightly different post.
How spintax syntax works
Each set of braces is a choice: {Hi|Hello|Hey} produces one of the three. Sets can be nested, like {Fresh {bread|pastries}|Warm cookies} today. With a few sets in one post, the combinations multiply quickly: three sets with three options each give 27 versions.
Why spintax matters for group marketing
Posting one identical text in many groups is the pattern Facebook’s spam systems and group admins notice most. Spintax gives every group its own version from a single draft, so your message stays the same while the wording changes. It is one of the simplest habits for healthy, scalable group posting.
Write spintax the right way
Ready-made templates are in our guide to spintax for Facebook group posts.

- Make sure every option reads naturally on its own.
- Spin whole phrases, not single letters or random words.
- Preview the output in the free spintax tester.
- In PilotPoster, use spintax or AI rewrite for each campaign: one or the other.
What does spintax look like?
Spintax uses curly braces and pipes: {Hi|Hello|Hey} {neighbors|everyone}, we have {fresh|warm} bread today. Each set of braces is one choice, and software picks one option from each set. That example alone produces 12 versions, all saying the same thing in slightly different words.
Is spintax better than AI rewriting?
They suit different needs. Spintax gives you exact control over every word and phrase. AI rewriting creates fresh versions automatically from one post, with less setup. Both give each group a unique version. In PilotPoster you choose one per campaign, spintax or AI rewrite, depending on how hands-on you want to be.
